Even relatively low strength hydrofluoric acid is toxic and has the potential to cause serious tissue damage and death when contaminated individuals are not treated swiftly. C-Gel is a high performance calcium gluconate gel. C-Gel combines with and neutralises the fluoride ion present in HF acid. This helps to prevent pain and tissue damage caused by HF acid whilst a patient is in transit to hospital. C-Gel is an easy to use cream, which can be self-administered or applied by a suitable first aider, available as a 40g tube Some examples where Hydrofluoric acids may be encountered are industrial chemistry, mining, refining, glass finishing, silicon chip manufacturing, and sanitation.
